Have you ever been called “boring?”

– or even just wondered to yourself if you are a boring person?

If so, you might have quite the advantage in life.

I’m definitely not advocating for complete isolation, never going out, no vacations, etc.

What I am advocating for is having a relationship with yourself to the point that you understand…

– how you’re using your time
– with whom are you spending it
– how you’re preserving your energy
– what’s getting your attention
– what you enjoy focusing on

And the list goes on.

I used to go to out substantially more…

To events, networking, lunches, dinners, etc, but as I’ve gotten further along in what I’ve wanted to create and build, I do those things way less.

For me, personally, it has been for several reasons:

1. Time has become so ridiculously important to me. It’s not that going out to all those things isn’t still needed, it’s that I’m just more intentional with them. I need more time to create, spend in my home studio, be in nature, do healthy activities, experience life instead of chase it.

2. I’ve slowed down eating out and getting drinks because I am intentional with my health… what goes in my body, ingredients, etc, and cooking + music is actually highly meditative for me.

3. Home is where you create your ultimate peace and sanctuary… so I did. Having a home filled with peace allows you to operate that way in so many other areas of your life.

4. The discipline and focus to follow my own personal mission takes time and practice… no, it’s not overnight, and it’s a lot of learning and patience… but this has also led to an extreme clarity.

A lot of this simply comes down to feeling confident in the direction you’re currently headed.

In order to gain that confidence, you have to have a rock-solid opinion of what yourself and what you’re spending you’re time doing.

So, I wanted to share a few thoughts that will help you solidify that opinion of yourself.

Important Things to Remember:

You are emotional.

If you are feeling frustrated, angry, down or anything else it is not for any factual, logical reason – it is because you have assigned negative emotional meaning inside your head to information that was received.

External things cannot affect you.

Anything can happen or be said, somebody can say no to you on the phone, a deal collapse, or things not go well – but it is what you say to yourself about those things that will affect you, it’s the “Inside self chatter”.

See the positive in what happened, correct for errors, think of “next time”, think of the goal that’s in place – and get back to work.

Thinking in the past or the future does not help and causes unhappiness and paralysis.

Be present and in the moment. Set goals for the day, take action today, and gain momentum today. Be in the moment in everything that you do.

Do not think or worry about the future or the past. Just act.

Thoughts with emotions created the beliefs you have today.

Thoughts with emotions will override the old ones and unlock your full potential.

Constructive Imagination in the morning, half way through the day and at night before sleep WILL unlock your full potential. Do not be fooled and stop doing it.

Don’t try to “stop drinking forever” try to “stop drinking today”.

Action today will create action tomorrow and action the next day. Building constant momentum and bringing about forever change.

It all starts today. Thinking and trying to plan or solve problems in the future or in the past is FICTION. Think, work on and act on reality – the NOW.

No anxious thought of tomorrow. Only thought of TODAY.

Be present in everything you do.

Here are some questions you can ask yourself to help eliminate your Limiting Beliefs:

  1. Is there any rational reason for such a belief?
  2. Could it be that I am mistaken in this belief?
  3. Would I come to the same conclusion about some other person in a similar situation?
  4. Why should I continue to act and feel as if this is true if there is no good reason to believe it?

Then, write down your answers, create a constructive imagination verse and add it to your go-to routine anytime you’re feeling off.
